What types of bins do you carry?
We carry a wide range of bin sizes. Call us at Smithville Home Hardware Building Centre, we can help you decide what type of bin you’ll need.
What is Cleanfill?
Consists only of dirt and sod, or broken concrete, blocks and/or asphalt or clay bricks and clay pipe. *Please do not mix anything else in a cleanfill bin* Clean fill must be kept separate from each other.
• Concrete.
• Concrete and asphalt.
• Ashpalt.
• Dirt.
• Dirt and Sod.
• Gravel.
• Brick.
Everything must go separately. Nothing can be mixed except concrete with asphalt and dirt with sod.
What is considered Solid Waste?
Non hazardous solid waste includes unwanted furniture, appliances, household goods, renovation waste, demolition waste, drywall, wood, plaster, roofing, shingles and scrap metal. DO NOT INCLUDE hazardous waste such as used oil, liquid paints, cleaning chemicals and propane tanks.

How much does it cost to rent a bin and dispose of the waste?
This depends on the size of bin used. When you order a Bin you will receive complete details depending on your needs. The cost to dispose of the waste is $150.00 per metric tonne. (1 tonne minimum charge) plus a fuel surcharge.
How long can I keep the bin?
The bin may be kept for 7 days. After 7 days there is a charge of $10.00 per day. We do not pick up the bin automatically. You need to arrange pick up with our office.
How much notice do you need if I want to rent a bin?
If a bin is ordered before 12:00pm we can usually deliver it the same day. Service is guaranteed in 24 hours.
How do I order a bin?
Simply call our Reservations number 905-957-2544 and we will arrange delivery for you.
Are bins available for disposal of clean fill?
Yes. Clean fill bins are available and are charged on a flat rate basis, the cost depends on the size of the bin.
How do I know what size and style I need?

How can I pay for the bin?
There are two payment methods, cash or credit card. Cash payment requires deposit upon delivery. Upon pick up, you will either receive a credit or a balance owing statement via mail. We also accept Visa or Mastercard which does not require a deposit with your pre-authorized payment.
